Bure Valley 10 Miles - Banningham, Norfolk
The Bure Valley 10 Miles is a road race held in and around the village of Banningham, Norfolk. The event in 2026 marks the race's 10th anniversary and is contested over a 10 miles course on quiet country lanes. The finish is on the village green, opposite the Banningham Crown Pub.
The event will issue a unique 10 year anniversary medal and will include several spot prizes drawn before the race. An award will be given to any competitor who has completed all ten editions of the event.
Individual prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers with amounts of £50, £30 and £20 respectively. Free entry to the 2027 race is offered to the first male and female in the 17-39 category and to the first male and female in each 5 year band from 40+ to 75+. Only one individual award may be claimed per person. Team prizes are based on accumulated time with three to score and award £20 to the first senior male and female teams and £20 to the first masters male and female teams.
There is a £50 cash bonus for a new course record; the existing best times are Men 52:45 and Ladies 59:39. The race has a two hour cutoff. Headphones of any kind including bone conducting are not permitted because the course runs on open roads; competitors wearing headphones will be disqualified. No wheeled vehicles, dogs or following cycles are allowed and the course is not suitable for wheelchair athletes. The event is held under UKA rules, licence number 31542.
Entry fees include an affiliated rate of £21.10 and an unaffiliated rate of £23.10. Entries are non refundable and cannot be deferred; transfers to another runner are permitted until midnight on 09/09/2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
