Bure Valley 10 Miles
The Bure Valley 10 Miles is a 10 miles road race held in and around the village of Banningham, Norfolk. The course uses quiet country lanes and finishes on the village green opposite the Banningham Crown Pub. The 2026 event marks the race tenth anniversary.
Prizes for individual finishers are listed by gender with cash awards of £50 for first, £30 for second and £20 for third. Free entry to the 2027 race is available for the first male and first female in the 17 to 39 category and for the first male and first female in 5 year age bands from 40 to 75 and over. Only one individual prize may be claimed per person.
Team prizes are awarded on accumulated time with three to score. The first senior male and female teams and the first masters male and female teams receive cash prizes. There is a £50 cash bonus for setting a new course record. The existing best times are Men 52:45 and Ladies 59:39.
There is a two hour cut off for completion. Headphones of any kind including bone conducting are not permitted; the race is run on open roads so hearing traffic and marshal instructions is required. No wheeled vehicles, dogs or following cycles are permitted and the course is not suitable for wheelchair athletes. The race is held under UKA rules, licence pending. Entries are non refundable and transfers to another runner are permitted until midnight on 09/09/2026. Entry fees include affiliated entry at £21.10 and unaffiliated entry at £23.10.
