The Marquette Trail 50 weekend offers trail races at the Noquemanon Trail Network Forestville Trailhead in Marquette, MI. Distances contested include the main ultramarathon options and a separate kids trail mile.

The courses are mostly single-track and traverse four named peaks: Sugarloaf, Top-of-the-World, Bareback, and Hogback. Many sections have views of Lake Superior and portions of the route run near the shoreline. Trail surface and terrain are described as moderately to very technical, with significant climbs and areas of rocks, roots, and ruts; Ultrarunning Magazine ratings cited the course as 3 out of 5 for Terrain and 4 out of 5 for Surface.
Aid stations provide water, electrolyte drink, sports gels, fruit, sandwiches and a variety of snacks. This is a cupless event; participants must carry a bottle, cup, or hydration system to refill at aid stations. Cellular service is limited or not available on much of the route.
Race capacity limits are stated for the ultramarathon distances, and registrations are non refundable and non transferable.
