Marquette County Fair Fun Run
The event is the 4th annual Marquette County Fair Fun Run held on August 15, 2026 at the Marquette County Fairgrounds, 715 M-553, Gwinn, MI 49841. The starting line is located in front of the Go-Kart Tracks.
This is a community run/walk of 1.5 mile. Prizes will be awarded to the first place male and first place female finishers.
A barnyard-themed costume contest takes place before the run with suggested themes such as cows, chickens, farmers, and pigs. Prizes for the costume contest include Best Adult Costume, which receives a Marquette County Date Night Basket valued at $300 or more and sourced from local businesses, and Best Kids Costume, which receives a "Fluffle" Membership to the Upper Peninsula Children's Museum valid for one year and covering two adults plus all children in the household.
Registration opens February 13, 2026 and closes August 10, 2026. The registration fee is $25 and includes all-day fair admission, entry into the costume contest, and an event T-shirt for participants who register by June 30. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
