Event overview
The Marlette races take place at Spooner Lake in Nevada’s Lake Tahoe State Park on Sunday, August 9, 2026. The event program includes a 50K, a 10 Miler, a 10K, and a 5K, all using singletrack and trail sections within the Spooner Backcountry and Lake Tahoe basin. Packet pick-up, check-in, and a race briefing are held at the main venue at Spooner Lake.

50K
The 50K starts at Spooner Lake and follows Sierra singletrack with long vistas that include Lake Tahoe, Marlette Lake, and the Carson Valley and Range. -
10 Miler
The 10 Miler begins at Spooner Lake, loops around the lake, moves to an out-and-back on the Tahoe Rim Trail, and returns to complete the Spooner Lake loop. Notable views include North Canyon, Lake Tahoe, and Snow Valley Peak. -
10K and 5K
The 10K and 5K circumnavigate Spooner Lake on scenic singletrack through aspen stands and forested open space.
Aid stations, cutoffs and inclusions
Aid stations are listed with mile markers for each distance (multiple stations on the 50K and 10 Miler; single stations on shorter courses). The 50K has course cutoffs at Mile 14.8 (Aid 3) and Mile 20 (Aid 4) set at 4 hours 30 minutes and 6 hours after the start, respectively. Entry fees vary by event and date. Entry includes an event T-shirt, finisher medal, free digital photos, post-event food, medical staff, and awards in five-year age groups. Discounts for clubs, challenged athletes (30%), and military (20%) are offered through the organizer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
