Market Harborough Carnival Run 2026

The Market Harborough Carnival Run takes place on 6 June 2026 in Market Harborough, Leicestershire, with races starting and finishing in the Carnival Showground in the town centre. The event runs on closed, spectator-packed roads that pass through the town centre and carnival area.

The traditional 10 km route leaves the town and climbs to waterside views of the Grand Union Canal, follows the refurbished canal path and returns past the Old Grammar School to finish in the Showground. A new 6 km route stays in and around the town centre and shares the same start and finish area as the 10 km race.

The race is a single-lap road course with a generally flat profile. Facilities at Race HQ (Race Tent, Symington Recreation Ground, LE16 7DS) include water stations, distance markers, toilets and a baggage store; there are no changing facilities or showers. The 10 km has a 90 minute cut-off time and the course is not suitable for wheelchair users. Entry is limited to 600 places with 283 remaining at the time of publication. Entry on the day will not be available. Medal holders receive free access to an afternoon and evening of carnival stalls, events and music.
