Winwick Hall Trail Races
The Winwick Hall Trail Races, scheduled for Sunday 18th July 2027 (TBC), are fully marked and marshaled trail events held on and around the Winwick Hall Estate. The race HQ, start and finish, is located at Winwick Hall in Northamptonshire.
Distances
- 10k race. Minimum age 16 years.
- 5k race. Minimum age 12 years.
- 2k children’s race for ages 4 to 12. Adults may accompany.
The courses use a mixture of terrain including grassland, country paths and hard-packed trails, and include some hills and fast descents. Routes will be signed and marshaled. There will be a water station at the halfway point of the 10k route and water available at the finish. Professional first aid will be based at the start and finish with the ability to access runners on course. Volunteers will provide on-course support.
Entries are open now and are priced at £23 for the 10k, £18 for the 5k and £10 for the 2k. Entries and transfer of entries close seven days before the event. As the races use footpaths across farmland, running with dogs is not permitted. The event is cupless so participants should bring their own cup or water bottle. Trail shoes are advisable if the ground is wet; road shoes may suffice when dry. All finishers receive a race medal. A proportion of entry fees goes to the Bruce Green Foundation, a charity supporting young people under 21 in Northamptonshire. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
