Event overview
The Winwick Hall Trail Races are a set of fully marked and marshaled trail races at Winwick Hall, Winwick, Northamptonshire (NN6 7PD). Distances on offer include:
- 10k
- 5k
- 2k (children's fun run)
The 5k and 10k routes use a mixture of terrain, including grassland, country paths and hard-packed trails, and include uphill sections and descents. The 2k event is for children aged 4 to 12 and adults may accompany a child. The races are run in aid of the Bruce Green Foundation, with a proportion of entry fees going to the charity.
Logistics and support
Entries are charged at set prices: £20 for the 10k, £15 for the 5k, and £8 for the 2k. Minimum ages on race day are 16 for the 10k, 12 for the 5k, and 4 for the 2k. Entry transfers and new entries close seven days before the event. Dogs are not permitted on the course.
On-course support includes professional first aid at the event HQ and access to runners on the course, volunteer marshals, and a water station on the 10k route at the halfway point. Water is also available at the finish. The event is cupless, so participants must bring a cup or water bottle. There is parking at Winwick Hall and the Polo Pavilion Tea Room will be open for food and drink. All finishers receive a race medal and free digital race photos are provided after the event.
