Marina 2 Marina

Marina 2 Marina is an annual running and walking event in the Marlborough Sounds that uses trails between Picton, Waikawa and Anakiwa. The event offers multiple course options that pass through native bush and along waterfront trails, finishing at the event hub on the Picton waterfront at London Quay where a festival atmosphere and family entertainment occur.

Course options:

• 24 km The Link from Anakiwa to Picton along the Link Pathway, with total elevation gain 535 m and an optional boat cruise from London Quay to the start. Minimum age 16 years.
• 13 km The Snout Run or Walk from Picton Marina to the end of the Snout and back, total elevation gain 433 m. Minimum age 14 years.
• 10 km Marina 2 Marina Run or Walk along the Picton to Waikawa track, total elevation gain 175 m. Minimum age 7 years.
• 2 km Kids Dash around Picton Marina for children aged 5 to 9 years.

The Link and Snout courses include notable hill climbs and panoramic views of the Sounds. The Link is described as just over the length of a half marathon and is aimed at experienced trail runners, while the shorter courses offer walking options and family friendly access.
