51st Annual Marigold 10K

The Marigold 10K is an established running event held in Winterville, Georgia. The race is organized as part of the annual Winterville Marigold Festival in Pittard Park. It is recognized as one of the oldest 10 km races in the state.

The event features several participation options:

  • Marigold 10K
  • Virtual Marigold 10K
  • Non-Compete Marigold 10K

The course is USATF-certified (#GA19035DJ) and serves as a qualifier for the Peachtree Road Race. The route is described as flat and fast, starting and ending at Pittard Park. Runners in the in-person event have a 2-hour time limit to complete the course. For the virtual option, participants may complete the 6.2 miles at any location and submit their times digitally within a specified window.

Pottery awards are presented to overall, masters, and grandmasters winners in both male and female categories. Custom medals are also provided to the top three finishers in five-year age increments, ranging from ages 10 and under to 80 and over. Participants who register by the April deadline are guaranteed a t-shirt, though virtual participants and those registering later are subject to availability. The race is part of the Black Bag Race Series and uses professional timing and finish line management. No dogs are permitted at the event.
