Margarita 5K - Waynesboro, VA
The Margarita 5K takes place on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Plaza Antigua in Waynesboro, Virginia. The course runs on pavement through a neighborhood and is chip-timed by Blue Ridge Timing Co. Walkers are welcome and dogs are allowed on the course and in the outdoor seating area; dogs must be leashed.
All participants receive a performance event shirt (guaranteed for those registered by August 31), a commemorative finisher glass, and a finisher margarita for participants over 21. The beverage ticket attached to the race bib is used to pick up the glass and margarita; participants must present proper ID to partake. Packet pickup is held at Plaza Antigua.
A post-race outdoor party and awards ceremony are part of the event. Food from Plaza Antigua will be available for purchase. Awards are given to the overall male and female finishers and to first-place finishers in age groups including under-21 categories and multiple over-21 brackets; winners must be present at the awards ceremony to receive their prize.
Registration fees vary by date. There are no refunds; runner transfers are allowed with prior notice. If severe weather makes the course unsafe, the event will be postponed to the following day and participants will be notified.
