The Marco Island Half Marathon and 5K takes place on Sunday, March 1, 2026, in Marco Island, FL (1839 San Marco Road, 34145). The event is the 15th annual edition and benefits Marco Island schools (Tommie Barfield, MICMS, MIA, and Lely), Our Daily Bread, and the Gulf Coast Runners Youth Development Fund.

The half marathon follows a course around Marco Island and crosses Goodland Bridge. The event is professionally chip timed and includes finish line video, unique medals for all finishers, and age-group awards. Due to course restrictions there is a 3 hour time limit for the half marathon. For the half marathon the minimum age to register is 13; the half marathon lists an open age range of 13 to 99. Strollers and dogs are not permitted on the course for safety reasons.
Registration and logistics
Price structure (examples): half marathon registration fees increase over time from $55 up to $100 on race day; 5K fees increase from $30 up to $40 on race day. Gulf Coast Runners members receive a 5% discount. Packet pickup is on Saturday, February 28, 10:00 am-2:00 pm at Tenney Law Offices (1770 San Marco Rd.) and on race day in front of Physicians' Regional (1839 San Marco Rd.).
