Marazion Triathlon - The Kernowman
The event takes place at Marazion Beach in Mount's Bay with St Michael's Mount as a backdrop. The swim is held in the typically calm waters in front of the mount. The bike route follows quiet west Cornwall country lanes described as Cornish flat, and the run uses the Marazion sea front path where spectators and supporters watch toward the finish.
Races run from Super Sprint up to a Middle Distance 70.3. A middle distance Aquabike is available for athletes who prefer not to include the run. Junior events take place in the afternoon, providing a family-friendly element. Wetsuits are mandatory, either shortie or full body. All finishers receive a medal.
Volunteering is part of the event structure and brings entry credit rewards for volunteers and for friends or family who help. Parking at Folly Fields car park is limited; an overflow car park is about 100 m away with space for 700 cars and both car parks operate pay on exit. Results are published 24 hours after the event on the organiser's results page.
