Marazion Triathlon - The Kernowman
Marazion Triathlon takes place on Marazion Beach with St Michael's Mount and Mount's Bay as the backdrop. The swim is in typically calm water in front of the mount. The bike follows quiet west Cornwall country lanes described as Cornish flat, and the run is on a fast and flat sea front path.
Multiple race options are offered, from short Super Sprint distances up to a middle distance 70.3. A middle distance Aquabike option is available for athletes who prefer not to run. Junior events are scheduled in the afternoon to provide family racing opportunities.
Distances:
- Kernowman 70.3: 1900m swim, 90km bike, 21.1km run
- Olympic: 1500m swim, 40km bike, 10km run
- Super Sprint: 400m swim, 10km bike, 2.5km run
- Kernowman Aquabike: 1900m swim, 90km bike
Wetsuits are mandatory, shortie or full body. All finishers receive a medal and results are published 24 hours after the event. Parking is limited at the Folly Fields car park with an overflow pay and display car park about 100 metres away that can take around 700 cars.
