Mapleton's Pioneer Day 5K & Fun Run
This event is part of Mapleton's Pioneer Days week of activities held in mid July. The community celebration includes sports tournaments, historical programs, a parade, park activities and games, a helicopter ping-pong ball drop, live entertainment, and a fireworks show. Organizers report well over 10,000 people in attendance during the week.
The road race portion takes place on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at the Mapleton Community Center area. Two running options are offered:
- 5K
- Fun Run (approx. 1 mile)
Entry fees are listed as $25 for the 5K and $15 for the Fun Run. The races use professional timing with bib chips and are described as flat courses. Participants receive t-shirts and drinks. Awards are presented to the top three finishers in each age group. There is no day of registration; participants are required to pre-register. Packet pickup is scheduled for July 17 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the White Church parking lot, 31 W Maple St, Mapleton, UT. Parking is available in front of the City Building near the starting line.
