Maple Valley Bear Run & Walk 5K
The Maple Valley Bear Run & Walk is a community 5K run and walk held at Lake Wilderness Park in Maple Valley, Washington on June 27, 2026. The event uses chip timing and disposable chips are placed on the back of bib numbers for official results.
Registration is open with an adult fee of $35 and free entry for children 12 and under when registered online by May 31, 2026; a small handling fee applies. Online registration closes June 1, 2026. Pre-race packet pick up is offered at Road Runner Sports in Kent on June 25, 2026. Day-of registration and packet pick up are available using a personal mobile device; no on-site payments will be accepted.
Parking is available at Lake Wilderness Park and carpooling is encouraged. The course allows jogging strollers on the trails; dogs are not allowed on the course except for service animals. Water is provided at the end of the race.
Awards are given in male and female categories with age group awards based on chip time covering ages from youth through 100 plus. First place in each age division receives the Bear Run Bear, second and third receive Bear Run Bells. Special awards for the top three overall men and women are based on gun time. Proceeds benefit Tahoma High School distance running programs administered by the Tahoma Cross Country Running Club. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
