Maple Valley Bear Run & Walk 5K
The Maple Valley Bear Run & Walk 5K takes place on Saturday, June 27, 2026 in Maple Valley, WA at Lake Wilderness Park (22500 SE 248th St). The event is a USATF certified 5K run/walk. Registration opens January 11, 2026 and a registration fee of $35 is listed.
Race logistics, timing and awards
Chip timing will be used, with disposable chips attached to the back of bib numbers and results posted online. A pre-race packet pick up is offered at Road Runner Sports in Kent on June 25, 2026; race-day packet pick up and day-of registration are also available. Parking will be available at Lake Wilderness Park and participants are encouraged to carpool. Jogging strollers are allowed on the course; dogs are not permitted except for service animals. Water is provided at the finish area.
Awards are given for male and female participants across multiple age divisions, with awards based on chip time. First place in each age division receives a Bear Run Bear; second and third places receive Bear Run Bells. Top three overall men and women receive special awards based on gun time.
