Trail Racing at Dewy Meadows Maple Farm
Maple Madness: Mud, Sweat, & Syrup is a trail running event held at the Dewy Meadows Maple Farm in Warren Center, Pennsylvania. The event takes place on a landscape featuring varied terrain, including single track trails, dirt roads, field crossings, and logging roads. Participants can expect a course that includes steep climbs and muddy sections.
The following distances are available:
- 5 km
- 10 km
The start and finish lines are located at the farm's sap house. This event is self-supported, meaning there are no aid stations along the courses. Runners are responsible for carrying their own hydration and fueling supplies. However, maple syrup shots are provided at points along both routes.
After completing the distance, finishers receive a small souvenir glass bottle of maple syrup. The post-race experience includes refreshments such as pancakes, sausage, and syrup. Activities at the farm include sap house tours and a bonfire. While overall winners of the distances receive prizes from the farm, all overall winners have their names added to the event's Cow Skull trophy.
Registration fees cover the race and meal, while apparel such as hooded sweatshirts and t-shirts are available as optional additions.
