Maple Madness: Mud, Sweat, & Syrup - Warren Center, PA
Maple Madness is a spring trail event at Dewy Meadows Maple Farm in Warren Center, Pennsylvania. The event offers two distances and both courses start and finish at the farm sap house. The courses combine short dirt road sections, steep climbs, single track, field crossings, logging roads, and varied terrain; the 10k adds an additional loop at a key intersection.
New this year, all finishers receive a small souvenir glass bottle of maple syrup, and maple syrup shots will be available on both courses. Hooded sweatshirts and t-shirts are offered as optional add-ons rather than included with registration. Finish-line refreshments include pancakes, syrup, sausage, and coffee. Dewy Meadows Maple Farm will offer maple products for sale and there will be post-race bonfire and sap house tours; sap boiling may occur depending on weather.
Runners are self-supported on course; there are no aid stations, so participants must carry any required hydration and fuel. Packet pick up will be available on race day near the start. Overall winners receive syrup prizes, with 10k winners also receiving a steak from Dewy Meadows Farm; winners’ names are permanently marked on the event Cow Skull and course records receive an additional premium.
