The course starts and ends in Fields Park and follows a path along a rolling creek with paintings, murals and sculptures visible along the way. The path is described as flat and accessible, and the format allows running or walking. Chip timing is provided by Pikes Peak Road Runners (PPRR). A T-shirt for the event was designed by a high school art student. Post-race provisions include Kangaroo coffee, snacks from the Garden of the Gods Trading Post and quesadillas from the elementary school PAC team. Participants are asked to provide their own water bottle to minimize waste. New this year, Stio will have a booth with giveaways. Finalists will receive prizes from Manitou Brewery and Penny Arcade. Awards are presented after the final finisher. All proceeds benefit the Manitou Springs School District and the high school cross country team.
