Manitou 5K
The Manitou 5K is the third annual community road race held in Manitou Springs, Colorado, with the course beginning and ending at Fields Park. The route follows a rolling creek and passes several paintings, murals and sculptures installed along the way. The path is described as flat and accessible, and participants may run or walk the course.
The event is chip timed by Pikes Peak Road Runners. A race t-shirt features a design created by a high school art student. Proceeds from the event are directed to the Manitou Springs School District and the high school cross country team.
Post-race offerings include Kangaroo coffee, snacks from the Garden of the Gods Trading Post and quesadillas provided by the elementary school PAC team. Attendees are asked to bring their own water bottle to minimize waste. A Stio booth will be present with giveaways. Finalists receive prizes from Manitou Brewery and Penny Arcade. Awards are scheduled to follow the final finisher.
Registration opens June 5, 2026 and closes October 10, 2026. Two registration categories are listed: the standard 5K entry and a 5K category for participants 18 and under, each with distinct fees. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
