Event
The Manitou 5K is a community 5-kilometre road race held in Manitou Springs, Colorado on Saturday, October 10, 2026. The event includes two entry categories: the main Manitou 5K (open to ages 19-110) and a youth category for ages 18 and under. Entry fees listed on the event page are $43.40 for the main race and $27.50 for the youth category. Chip timing is provided by Pikes Peak Road Runners. All proceeds benefit the Manitou Springs School District.
Course and logistics
The course starts and finishes at Fields Park (114 El Paso Blvd) and follows the Creekwalk, passing public art, murals, sculptures, disc golf and skatepark areas. The route crosses Adams Crossing Bridge, runs past the Manitou arch, follows Beckers Lane and a flower-tiled bridge, loops Fields Park, continues along a mural-lined creekwalk to Mayfair, then goes up El Paso to a turnaround before returning downhill to a grassy finish. The path is described as flat and accessible. Race-day amenities include restrooms and porta-potties on course, post-race refreshments from local vendors, and shuttle service to Fields Park. Refunds are not allowed; the race will proceed in most weather and shirts will be available if the event is cancelled.
