Event details
The Manitou 5K takes place on October 10, 2026 in Manitou Springs, Colorado, with the start and finish at Fields Park (114 El Paso Blvd). The event includes a 5K open division and a 5K division for ages 18 and under. Entry fees listed on the event page are $43.40 for the adult division and $27.50 for the youth division. The race is chip timed by Pikes Peak Road Runners. Race proceeds go to the Manitou Springs School District and the event is organized by MSSD14 students, staff, and parents. Race T-shirts are designed by MSSD14 art students.
Course and logistics
The course follows the Creekwalk and crosses Adams Crossing Bridge, passes the Manitou arch, loops around Fields Park and returns via El Paso to a turnaround point before a downhill finish. The path is described as flat and accessible. Portable restrooms and a permanent restroom are available in Fields Park, with additional porta potties at the halfway point in the Hiawatha parking lot. Parking options include free street parking on El Paso Blvd, nearby school parking lots, and pay parking lots in town with a shuttle to Fields Park.
Awards include age-group winners for under 9, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-16, and 17-18, plus 1st–3rd male/female for under 40 and Masters (40 and up). 2024 course records are listed (Male under 40 17:54; Female under 40 22:39; Male Masters 19:53; Female Masters 20:03). Refunds are not allowed and the event will run in varying weather conditions. Prohibited on course: strollers, baby joggers, animals, bikes, trikes, earbuds or headphones.
