Mandurah Triathlon Club Race Day : MTC Race #6
Mandurah Triathlon Club holds a club race day at Halls Head featuring triathlon, duathlon and aquabike events in two Summer distances: Enticer and Club Standard. Entry fees vary by membership status: MTC members $15, Tri WA racing members $20, and non-members $25. Interclub and MTCvRTC entries are excluded from these fees.
Distances for each format are:
- Enticer triathlon: 150 m swim, 7.5 km cycle, 1.5 km run
- Club Standard triathlon: 300 m swim, 14.5 km cycle, 3 km run
- Enticer duathlon: 1.5 km run, 7.5 km cycle, 1.5 km run
- Club Standard duathlon: 1.5 km run, 14.5 km cycle, 3 km run
- Enticer aquabike: 150 m swim, 7.5 km cycle
- Club Standard aquabike: 300 m swim, 14.5 km cycle
Online registration is offered and recommended before race day. On race morning registration opens shortly before the races and closes shortly before race start. Volunteers set up bike racks and transition areas; racks generally allow five bikes per section. Competitors rack bikes, set up transition gear, and must remove bags from the transition area after setup.
Timing chips are issued at registration, worn on the left ankle, and collected after finishing. Races use either a beach or deep water mass start and course briefings are given just before the start. Roads are not closed, so competitors must obey traffic laws and ride with care. Volunteers provide assistance at key locations and the club packs up equipment after the final finisher.
