Manchester Training Night takes place at Longford Park Stadium in Manchester and is a free coach led session delivered by the RunThrough Coaching team. The session combines a structured track workout with practical coaching insights aimed at improving endurance, pacing and overall running performance.
The evening begins with a 1 km or 1 Mile time trial, followed by a speed endurance workout that uses paired relay format: 3 x (3 x 400 m) relay efforts. The main set is designed to develop speed endurance, lactate tolerance and the ability to maintain pace under fatigue, reflecting demands of late stages in middle distance and 5K races.
Guided running drills are included to address movement efficiency and running mechanics and to help runners apply new skills during track work. The relay format creates a supportive group setting and encourages athletes to focus on consistent pacing and form when tired.
