MammothMarch East Tennessee
MammothMarch East Tennessee takes place at Fall Creek Falls State Park on May 1 and May 2, 2027. The event offers a single-circuit hiking route of 20 miles through parkscape that includes cascades, gorges, streams, hardwood stands and a visit to Fall Creek Falls, which is 256 feet tall.
The route covers mainly unpaved hiking trails, dirt trails, gravel roads and forest floor with a total elevation gain of around 1,500 ft. Aid and refreshment stations are positioned roughly every 5 to 7 miles and provide toilets, food and drinks; these refreshments are included in the event fee. For safety there are cut-off times at aid stations. The event does not use official timekeeping; participants who complete the distance receive a finisher medal and a personalized certificate. Participants who stop before the finish will receive a certificate stating the mileage covered.
On-site amenities include complimentary parking and various lodging options within the park such as a modern lodge, campsites and cabins. Merchandise can be ordered in advance for on-site pickup or purchased through the event’s official shop for shipping. A MammothMarch Hiking Pass system is used for stamping returning participants and issuing passes to new participants. The final route map will be published about two weeks prior to the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
