Event
The Fall Creek Falls 50K and Half Marathon Trail Runs takes place on March 21, 2026 in Fall Creek Falls State Park, Spencer, TN (10821 Park Road, 38585). The event offers two distance options:
- 50K
- Half Marathon
Registration prices listed on the event page include a fee and are scheduled to increase after December 16, 2025. Event shirts are not guaranteed for registrations made within two weeks of the event. A block of rooms at the Lodge at Fall Creek Falls was arranged for registered participants, with a limited number available.
Course and support
The 2026 courses will return to the original route now that a suspension bridge repair is complete. The half marathon is a single loop that finishes at the pavilion at the Betty Dunn Nature Center. The 50K uses laps of the course with a return to the Start/Finish pavilion for refueling and restrooms between laps; the second lap includes a specific turnaround near 284 and Fire Tower Road before returning to the finish. Course maps and an updated map with aid/water locations are to be posted.
There are three aid stations on the loop. Aid stations will provide water, Gatorade, gels, and snacks. No hot food will be available on course; hot food will be available at the finish.
Policies and cutoffs
The organizer enforces time cutoffs for the 50K based on a roughly 20 minute-per-mile pace. Runners must reach aid station #3 (12.25 miles) within about 4 hours on the first pass and within about 8 hours on the second pass or they will be asked to head back or accept a ride to the finish area.
