MammothMarch Arizona
MammothMarch Arizona is scheduled for February 13, 2027 at McDowell Mountain Regional Park near Fort McDowell, AZ. The event is a single-circuit loop of 20 miles with an approximate total elevation gain of around 1,200 ft. The route follows a mix of mountain trails and roads, including Pemberton, Escondido and Verde Trail.
The surface is mainly unpaved hiking trails with sections of dirt trails and gravel roads. Aid stations and water stops are located along the route at roughly 5 to 7 mile intervals. These stations provide toilets, food and drinks; refreshments listed for past editions include water, energy drinks, electrolytes, fruits, cereal or protein bars and PBJ sandwiches.
There is no official timekeeping and the event emphasizes completion over ranking; every participant who completes the distance receives a finisher medal and a personalized certificate. Participants who stop early receive a certificate indicating the mileage completed. A hiking pass system is used for stamps for new and returning participants.
Logistics information notes complimentary parking on site, availability of event merchandise for pick up on event day, and that lodging details will be provided later. Start allocations use limited-capacity time slots so only a few hikers cross the start at the same time. Safety provisions include cut-off times at aid stations.
