Event overview

The Mamba 100 is a multi-distance trail race held at the Wolf River Refuge Trailhead on S. Walnut Bend Rd., Memphis, TN. Distances offered are:

  • 100 Miler
  • 100K
  • 50K
  • 25K

The 100 Miler is an official Western States qualifying race. To earn the Western States qualifier, runners must complete the full 100 miles within the published cutoff.

Packet pickup is held at the Start/Finish location on the day before the race. Drop bags are permitted only at the Start/Finish area.

Course and aid stations

The course centers on a 14-mile loop of primarily flat, fast single-track with a few small hills. Each race begins with a short lead-in section before entering the main loop. Loop and start-section breakdowns are provided for each distance and the total miles approximate the race distances.

Two fully staffed aid stations serve the course: the Start/Finish (Wolf River Refuge Trailhead) and Walnut Grove Bridge, which is passed twice per loop. Aid stations provide water, electrolyte drink, soda, and standard ultra fare.

Rules, awards, and logistics

No refunds and no bib transfers. Entry deferral credit is available on a sliding scale depending on notice. Age minimums apply: 100 Miler and 100K 18+; 50K 16+; 25K 13+ (minors require guardian waiver). Pacers are allowed only for the 100 Miler and 100K with limits and pickup locations specified.
