Mamba 100 - Memphis, TN
The Mamba 100 is an ultramarathon weekend held at the Wolf River Refuge Trailhead on S. Walnut Bend Rd., Memphis, TN. The event uses a 14-mile loop of flat, fast, and smooth single-track with a short lead-in section for each distance. The race is an official Western States Qualifying event; the 100-mile distance must be completed within a 34-hour cutoff to earn WSER qualification.
Distances offered:
- 100 Miler - ≈100 miles, 7 loops plus a 2-mile start section
- 100K - ≈62 miles, 4 loops plus a 6-mile start section
- 50K - ≈31 miles, 2 loops plus a 3-mile start section
- 25K - ≈15.5 miles, 1 loop plus a 1.5-mile start section
Aid stations are located roughly every 4–5 miles and two primary stations serve the loop: Bridge Aid Station and Start/Finish Aid Station. Aid stations provide Tailwind hydration, water, sports drinks, standard ultra nutrition, varied snack items, and rotating hot foods overnight. The Start/Finish Aid Station functions as the primary hub for crew, drop bags, and personal aid setups.
Packet pickup and canopy setup occur at the trailhead prior to race day. Pacers are permitted for 100-mile and 100K distances only, with specific rules requiring pacers to run full loops and pick up from the Start/Finish area. Age minimums apply by distance.
