The Pleasant Ridge Backyard Ultra is an endurance running event presented by Greenville County Recreation. It takes place January 31 to February 1, 2026 at Pleasant Ridge Camp and Retreat Center, 4232 Highway 11, Marietta, SC 29661. Registration has an early price of $70 until August 31 and $85 after that date. Registration closes January 29, 2026. The event page lists a single event entry fee of $85.

Format, course and event logistics

The race follows a backyard ultra format. Runners complete repeated laps of 4.167 miles; each lap must be completed within the hour to continue. If a runner fails to complete a lap or returns after the hour has passed, they receive a DNF. The last runner to complete a full lap is declared the winner. There are no runner categories and all participants start at the same time. The course includes sections of the JFA trail and paved paths.

Early bib pickup and aid station setup are available on January 30. Runners are assigned a 10 by 10 aid station area; tents should be secured. Camping is offered to registered runners and their support crew in the assigned 10 by 10 spaces. Restrooms are available on site, but no showers are provided.
