Main Street Donuts Shark Run 5K
The Main Street Donuts Shark Run 5K is a community running and walking event located in Matawan, New Jersey. The course covers a distance of 5 km (3.1 miles) through the local streets. This event is open to participants of various experience levels and is stroller-friendly.
Participants receive several items as part of their registration, including an exclusive shark-themed shirt, a finisher's medal, and a fresh shark donut provided by Main Street Donuts. A post-race celebration follows the run, featuring coffee and refreshments. Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers overall, as well as winners across various age groups ranging from 10 and under to 80 and over. A "Most Festive" award is also given.
The event supports the Matawan Regional High School Performing Arts Program. Several parking options are available for attendees, including municipal lots on Jackson Street, Broad Street, and Ravine Drive, as well as on-street parking where permitted.
