Bob Beckert Memorial 5K Run/Walk
The event is a community 5K run and walk with a separate Kids Dash of 300 m held at Watchung Hills Regional High School in Warren, New Jersey. Registration for the upcoming edition is not yet open; organizers offer a notification option for when registration becomes available.
Race amenities listed for previous editions include guaranteed race shirts for those who pre-register for the 5K, raffle prizes, race day refreshments, live online and text results, free finish line photos, and personalized bibs for registrations completed at least three weeks in advance. Results and same-day finish line photos are published digitally.
Bibs are distributed through event staff beginning one hour before the event start time. Runners are asked to know their bib number; a self lookup area is provided for those who do not. Registrations made within 24 hours of bib pickup can receive a bib number by text.
Awards are presented to the top overall male and female finishers and top male and female finishers in the following age groups: 19 and under, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 and over.
The event benefits the Bob Beckert Memorial Fund, which awards college scholarships to Watchung Hills students; the fund has awarded over $117,000 to 105 students. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
