Mackinaw Valley Wine Run 5K
The Mackinaw Valley Wine Run is a 5k event held at Mackinaw Valley Vineyard and Winery in Mackinaw, Illinois on June 13, 2027. The race starts and finishes at the winery and follows a two-lap route through the vineyards.
Registration includes a super soft ring spun cotton T-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal, a chip timed race bib, online results, and a pour of wine. Minors receive a discounted registration that includes a shirt, medal, and bib but does not include a wine glass or a glass of wine.
The course is mostly cross country style and includes grass and uneven areas. Organizers describe it as a scenic tour of the vineyards and note it may not be suitable for runners seeking a personal best time. Walkers are allowed and are asked to keep to the right so runners can pass on the second lap. Strollers are permitted but not recommended because of uneven ground; children in strollers may participate for free and do not need to register. Dogs are not allowed on site due to USDA restrictions for produce and vegetable farms.
Packet pickup is race day only. Participants who do not attend in person can pick up their packet at the winery or request transfer to the virtual wine run and have the packet shipped.
