Mackinaw Valley Wine Run 5K
The Mackinaw Valley Wine Run 5K is a two lap, mostly cross country 5K held at Mackinaw Valley Vineyard and Winery in Mackinaw, Illinois on June 13, 2027. The course starts and finishes at the winery and includes grass and uneven areas; the route is intended to pass through vineyard terrain rather than provide fast times. Walkers are welcome and are asked to stay to the right to allow faster participants to pass on the second lap.
Registration includes event swag: a super soft ring spun cotton T shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal, a chip timed race bib, and a pour of wine. Minors may register for a reduced fee and receive a shirt, medal, and bib but will not receive a wine glass or a glass of wine. Packet pickup is available on race day only and opens one hour before the event.
Age group awards are presented to the top three finishers in each 10 year category, with categories from 19 and under through 80 and over. Results are posted online and age group awards are available for pickup the day of the event only. Dogs are not allowed on site due to USDA produce farm rules. The event proceeds in rain or shine; severe weather may prompt a delay for safety.
