Mackinaw Valley Wine Run 5K
The Mackinaw Valley Wine Run 5K is scheduled for June 14, 2026 at Mackinaw Valley Vineyard and Winery in Mackinaw, Illinois. The event is a chip timed 5K run and walk with results posted online. Registration includes a soft ring spun cotton T shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal, a race bib, and a pour of wine.
The course starts and finishes at the winery and follows a two lap layout. The route is mostly cross country style and includes grass and other uneven areas. Walkers are allowed and are asked to stay to the right so faster participants can pass on the second lap. Strollers are permitted but not recommended due to uneven ground; children in strollers may participate for free and do not need to register. Minors may register at a discounted rate but do not receive the wine glass or a glass of wine.
Age group awards will be given to the top three finishers in each ten year category including 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 and over. Age group winners must start with the first wave to be eligible and awards must be picked up the day of the event. Packet pickup is race day only and opens one hour before the event. The event proceeds rain or shine though severe weather or lightning may cause delays. Participants may transfer to a virtual wine run and have their packet shipped if they do not attend in person.
