Mackay Airport Twilight City Run

The Mackay Airport Twilight City Run is a community 5 km run or walk held at Bluewater Quay on River Street in Mackay, Queensland. The event is set for 6 March 2026 and uses the area around the "Fish Bones" as both the start and finish location.

The event welcomes walkers, runners, dancers, seniors and families, including little ones in prams. It is presented as a way to begin training for the BMA Mackay Marina Run held in June. Wave starts are organised by target finish time: under 25 minutes, 25 to 30 minutes, and 30 minutes or more.

Registration is online only; there is no in-person registration on the day. Entry fees listed for this event are $10 for adults and $5 for school students. Funds raised assist the local branch of the Leukaemia Foundation. Sponsors named for the event include Mackay Airport and Mackay Waterfront.
