About the race
The Eimeo Triathlon is the first open water event of the season held at Eimeo Beach. The event uses ocean swims, coastal bike loops, and an out-and-back run along the Eimeo foreshore and under Mango Avenue. It is open to individuals and teams, with solo and team entry options in each format.
Race formats include triathlon, duathlon, aquathlon, and aquabike across multiple age categories. Swim conditions are ocean-based from Eimeo Beach. The bike course follows undulating coastal loops and the run is along the foreshore.
Distances by category:
- Mini Kids (ages 5–11): short swim, short bike, short run per age group
- Enticer (solo 12+, team 10+): 300m swim, 8km bike, 2.5km run
- Sprint (solo 14+, team 12+): 750m swim, 20km bike, 5km run
Additional race options listed for Enticer and Sprint include duathlon, aquathlon, and aquabike variations with corresponding distances for each format. Club training and support are provided in the lead up to the event, including Sunday club sessions, weekly swim, bike and run squad training open free to members, and membership rates starting from a low weekly amount for adults and reduced rates for under 20s.
