Machete Trail Madness on April 25, 2026 takes place at Lake Perris in Perris, CA. The event offers multiple looped trail distances around the lake and uses a campground as the race transition area and start location.

Course formats are lap-based. The 50K uses a 10-mile loop with about 2,300 feet of elevation gain per lap completed three times. The 100K uses a 20-mile loop around the lake with about 4,400 feet of elevation gain per lap completed three times.
Cut-off times are 15 hours for the 50K and 30 hours for the 100K. 100K runners may pick up one pacer after completing two loops; one pacer is allowed for the final lap at the homebase transition area. The start/finish transition area serves as a personal supply zone each lap.
Aid station placement by course mile is provided: for the 50K there is a full aid station at mile 6 and a self-serve water station at mile 8.7 of the 10-mile loop. For the 100K there are full aid stations roughly at miles 8 and 13 and self-serve water stations at miles 11 and 15.8 of the 20-mile loop.
Group tent camping is available at no additional cost if selected during registration, available Friday after 12:00 PM with checkout Monday by 11:00 AM; no trailers or hookups. The event lists free professional photos, free participant shirts, and no pacer fee.
