Machete Muertos 200 is a multi-distance trail event organized by Machete Trail Madness in Perris, California, running October 28 to November 1, 2026. The event includes looped courses around Lake Perris and a group campground adjacent to the start and transition area.

Course and terrain information notes that the 10 and 50 mile races use a roughly 10 mile loop with about 2,300 feet of elevation gain per lap. The 20 mile course, used also by the 100 and 200 mile races, has about 4,500 feet of elevation gain per lap. The 200 mile distance is listed with over 44,000 feet of total elevation gain, technical terrain, and a 96 hour cutoff. Organizers recommend prior 100 mile or equivalent experience for 200 mile entrants.
Pacing, cutoffs, and aid stations follow specified rules: pacers are not allowed for the 10 mile or ruck division; 50 mile runners may use a pacer on the final lap; 100 mile runners may use pacers after 60 miles; 200 mile runners may use pacers after 80 miles. Cutoff times are 96 hours for the 200 mile, 48 hours for the 100 mile, 24 hours for 50 mile, 12 hours for the 20 mile ruck division, and no cutoff for the 10 mile. Aid stations include a full station at mile 6 for 10 and 50 mile races and aid at miles 8 and 13 for the 20, 100, and 200 mile courses.
Additional event details note free group tent camping for participants and their guests with no hookups, free participant shirts and photos, specific ruck weight requirements (20 pounds for females, 30 pounds for males), and cash prizes for podium finishers in the 100 and 200 mile races.
