The 200 mile course includes over 44,000 feet of elevation gain and technical terrain. The 20 mile course around Lake Perris has about 4,500 feet of elevation gain and is used by the 20 mile, 100 mile, and 200 mile distances. The 10 mile and 50 mile events run on a 10 mile plus loop with about 2,300 feet of gain per lap.
Cutoff times are specified by distance, including a 96 hour cutoff for the 200 mile and a 48 hour cutoff for the 100 mile. Organizers recommend prior completion of a 100 mile race or similar 200 mile experience for those attempting the 200 mile distance. Pacer rules vary by distance; pacers are not permitted for the 10 mile or ruck division and become available for longer distances after set lap thresholds.
Aid stations include a transition area at the start and finish, a full aid station at mile 6 for the 10 and 50 mile races, and aid stations at miles 8 and 13 for the 20, 100, and 200 mile courses. Group tent campground is available with free camping for family and pacers, and no trailers or hookups are allowed. Prize purses are offered for overall podium finishers in the 100 and 200 mile races. The event has a no refund policy with limited transfer options under specified conditions.
