Event information
The Macedonia Trail Race takes place on September 13, 2026, at Macedonia Brook State Park, 159 Macedonia Brook Rd, Kent, Connecticut. The event offers three distances:
- 50K
- 25K
- 12K
The 25K is part of the Blue Blazed Trail Running Series in Connecticut. Hikers and walkers are permitted in the 12K. The organizer’s refund policy states there are no refunds and no transfers of registration or bibs to another person.
Course and race features
The race starts near the pavilion and ranger station on Macedonia Brook Rd. Runners use a short road section before entering blue-blazed singletrack, run counter-clockwise, and encounter a grinding climb followed by a major descent just over 2 miles in. The course includes rolling, technical singletrack, a few short road crossings, and a climb up Cobble Mountain with a west-facing viewpoint. The finish is on grass near the pavilion.
The 25K course is two loops of the 12K course plus a small out-and-back at the start and includes 3500'+ of elevation. The 50K is three loops, includes three trips over Cobble Mountain, and includes 7,000'+ of elevation. Post-race provisions include bagels, bananas, pizza, and non-alcoholic hydration.
