MacDill's Paws 4 Heroes 5K
MacDill's Paws 4 Heroes 5K is organized by Dogs Inc and takes place at Gadsden Park in Tampa on March 7, 2027. The event offers both an in-person 5K run/walk and a virtual 5K option. Participants in both options receive a race shirt and a finisher's medal. Registration fees and windows are set separately for each option.

The in-person course is timed with chip timing on an accurate but not certified 5K course that uses about two and a half loops at Gadsden Park. Packet pickup will be available on-site at Gadsden Park on race morning. Age group awards are given for first through third place in ten-year age groups.
The virtual option is run on an honor system; virtual participants choose their own time and location and do not need to report results. Virtual entrants will have their shirt and finisher's medal mailed, typically within a week after the race. Virtual registrants should not plan to run on-site on race day because bibs and chips are not provided for the virtual category and permits were arranged based on planned attendance.
If the live event cannot be conducted, all registered participants will be converted to virtual entries and shirts and medals will be distributed. To be guaranteed a race shirt, registration should be completed by February 21, 2027. Registration opens and closes on the dates published for each event, and there is no race day registration in the park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
