MacDill's Paws 4 Heroes 5K : Overview
MacDill's Paws 4 Heroes 5K takes place on Sunday, April 12, 2026, in Tampa, FL (6901 S MacDill Ave, 33611). The event offers an in-person 5k Run/Walk and a 5k Virtual Run/Walk. Funds raised will benefit Dogs Inc's Paws for Patriots program, which provides guide and service dogs for veterans.

The in-person course uses chip timing on an accurate but not certified 5k route. The course is roughly two and a half loops at Gadsden Park. All participants, including virtual runners, receive a race shirt and a finisher's medal. Age-group awards are given 1st through 3rd in ten-year age groups.
Registration details include a price increase after January 31, 2026, and virtual registration that ends April 12, 2026. To be guaranteed a race shirt, registration is advised by March 29, 2026. Packet pickup is available on race morning at Gadsden Park. The virtual option is run on an honor system; shirts and medals for virtual participants are mailed the week after the race if the live event cannot be held or for virtual entries.
