Event overview
The LVRR September Summer Series 5K takes place on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, in Allentown, PA. It is the final race of a free five-race summer series held on the first Wednesday of each month from May through September. The event distance is 5K. Format, course and logistics
This race is run as a prediction run: runners do not use watches, a 60-minute countdown clock is used, and each runner starts at the moment they predict they will finish. The course is an accurately measured, mostly flat, cinder trail in Lehigh Parkway; the course has been modified due to scheduled repairs to Bogarts Bridge. There is a 60-minute time limit (equivalent to 19:35 minutes per mile). All runners must check in prior to the race and should look for volunteers in orange safety vests.
