LVRR Summer Series 5K : Lehigh Parkway, Allentown
The LVRR Summer Series is a set of five free 5K races held on the first Wednesday of each month from May through September at Lehigh Parkway in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The series is open to non members and registration is handled online at no cost.
The course is an accurately measured, mostly flat cinder trail that runs through the Parkway. The course layout was modified in 2025 because of scheduled repairs to Bogarts Bridge. A 60 minute time limit applies, which corresponds to roughly 19 minutes 35 seconds per mile pace. All runners must check in on race day. The minimum age to race is 10 years.
Organizers provide food and beverages on site; the club supplies hotdogs, water and chips and the potluck dinner is no longer hosted. Participants are asked not to bring food to share. Remaining race dates include September 2 as part of the May through September sequence.
