LVRR June Summer Series 5K

The LVRR June Summer Series 5K is one event in a free five-race series held on the first Wednesday of each month from May through September in 2026. The series dates listed for 2026 are May 6, June 3, July 1, August 5 and September 2. The June race serves as the graduation race for the First Strides program.

The event takes place at Lehigh Parkway in Allentown, PA 18103. The course is accurately measured, mostly flat, and follows a cinder trail in the park. The course layout was modified in 2025 because of scheduled repairs to Bogarts Bridge. Registration is available online and registration opens February 11, 2026. The event is free and does not require LVRR club membership to participate.

Racers must be at least 10 years of age. There is a 60 minute time limit, equivalent to a 19:35 minute per mile pace. Race day check-in begins at 5:30 PM and all runners must check in. The club will provide hotdogs, water and chips; a potluck dinner will no longer be hosted and participants are asked not to bring food to share.
