Event overview

The LVRR July Summer Series 5K is scheduled for July 1, 2026 in Lehigh Parkway, Allentown, PA (1600 Park Drive, 18103). The event is part of a five-race series held on the first Wednesday of each month from May through September; remaining 2026 dates listed are August 5 and September 2. The race distance is 5 km. Entry has no fee and the series is open to non-members. Racers must be at least 10 years old and entries are listed as open to ages 10 to 100. A 60-minute time limit is enforced (equivalent to a 19:35 minute/mile pace).

Course and logistics

The course is accurately measured, mostly flat, and uses a cinder trail within Lehigh Parkway. Due to scheduled repairs to Bogarts Bridge, the course was modified in 2025. All runners must complete race-day check-in. The organizing club will no longer host a potluck dinner; the club will provide hotdogs, water and chips and requests that participants do not bring food to share.
