Luton Foodbank 2026 5k Charity Colour Run
Luton Foodbank organises a community Colour Run in Wardown Park (at the boathouse) in Luton on Saturday 4 July 2026. Participants follow a 5km course around the park while volunteers shower runners with brightly coloured powder. The event is family oriented and places emphasis on fun rather than competition; walking the course is explicitly allowed. The fastest recorded completion time for the event is 26 minutes.
Participants who register before Monday 22 June receive an official t-shirt, sunglasses, and a participation medal, subject to availability. Spectators are welcome and prizegiving takes place on the green behind the museum with trophies awarded in several categories including overall winner, fastest under 16, highest sponsorship, school with highest sponsorship, biggest team, and a special Colour Run Superstar award.
Fundraising is encouraged to support food parcels for people in Luton. Suggested targets are given for raising funds and options are provided for online fundraising or using a paper sponsorship form. Gift Aid is encouraged where available. Organisers recommend wearing old clothes because the coloured powder may not wash out completely and advise bringing protection for car seats if driving home.
