Luton Foodbank 2026 Colour Run at Wardown Park
The Luton Foodbank Colour Run takes place on Saturday 4 July 2026 at Wardown Park, meeting near the boathouse. The event features a 5 km course around the park where participants are showered with brightly coloured powder at staffed colour stations.
The event is presented as family friendly and emphasizes fun over competition. Participants may run, jog, or walk the route, and spectators are welcome to gather on the green behind the museum for the prizegiving. Organisers award trophies for categories including overall winner, fastest under 16 on the day, highest sponsorship for an individual and for a school, biggest team, and a special award for best colour coverage.
Registration requires a fee that enables the organisers to provide one food parcel for a person in need. Those who register before Monday 22 June receive an official t shirt, sunglasses, and a participation medal; these items are not guaranteed for later registrations. Team entry is possible and organisers provide instructions after registration.
Fundraising is optional and can be done online or with paper sponsor forms. Suggested fundraising goals are listed for the number of food parcels. Participants are advised to wear old clothes, to consider protecting vehicle seats, and to ensure they are medically fit to take part.
