LUNGSTRONG 5K Run and 1.5 Mile Walk
The 13th annual LUNGSTRONG event takes place in Beverly, Massachusetts, and offers participants several ways to take part in supporting thoracic cancer research. The event features multiple distance options for individuals and teams:
- 5K Run
- 1.5 Mile Walk
- Virtual 5K Run/Walk
The live event is held at 72 Cherry Hill Drive. For those who cannot attend in person, the virtual option allows participants to complete their chosen distance at any location between May 17 and May 31. All proceeds from race registrations and donations are directed to the Mass General Cancer Center for Thoracic Cancer Research.
Organizers have moved away from providing event t-shirts to reduce waste. Participants are encouraged to wear their own LUNGSTRONG shirts from previous years. However, various apparel items are available for purchase on-site during the race. Specialized team shirts can be arranged for groups by contacting the event administration for design specifications.
Registration is open to all, with lung cancer survivors eligible for complimentary entry using a specific code. There are different pricing tiers adjusted for early bird and standard registration periods. Participants may enter as individuals or form teams to participate together.
