Lung Legacy Run and Walk
The Lung Legacy Run and Walk takes place on June 3, 2026 in Grand Rapids, Michigan at 1400 Maynard Ave SW. The event program includes road running, a short community walk, and virtual race options so participants can join in person or remotely.

- 3.1 Miles, 5K run/walk
- 0.5 Miles, half mile walk
- 3.1 Miles, virtual 5K
- 6.2 Miles, virtual 10K
- 0.5 Miles, virtual half mile walk
Registration opens March 1, 2026 and closes March 31, 2026. Entry fees vary by event. Participants receive a t-shirt; shirt size preference cannot be guaranteed after May 18, 2026. Packet pickup is available the day of the event at Grant Pavilion, the race starting line.
The event is presented as a tribute to the co-founders’ grandfather who had pulmonary fibrosis and includes an emphasis on lung health and clean air. Organizers note their startup’s interest in improving safety and comfort for people who use supplemental oxygen.
The event policy states there are no transfers or refunds. In case of severe weather, local or wider emergencies, or public health concerns, race directors may cancel the in-person event and convert registrations to the virtual option.
