Event overview

The Lumberjack Pancake Run takes place on March 29, 2026, in Detroit, Michigan as part of the three-day Lumberjack Days festival (March 27-29). The event program includes the Silver Dollar Mile, the Flapjack 5K, a combined "Lumberjack Breakfast" entry that covers both the mile and the 5K, a pancake breakfast, a kids’ fun run (no registration needed), costume contests, and awards for Best Beard and Best Dressed Lumberjack in adult and kids divisions. Location, course and entry

All events start at the Outdoor Adventure Center, 1801 Atwater, Detroit, MI 48201. The course runs along the Dequindre Cut as an out-and-back route described as flat. Parking is available across from Milliken State Park and Harbor. Registration opens December 5, 2025. Pricing details include early, regular, and race-day rates; a family discount of $3 per person applies when three or more people register together. Pancake breakfast tickets for non-racers are available for $5. The race is limited to 350 total registrants.
