Event overview
The Lumberjack Pancake Run takes place on March 29, 2026, in Detroit, Michigan, as part of Lumberjack Days (March 27-29). The event program includes several running events and a pancake breakfast. Distances offered include:

Race day features registration and packet pickup, costume contests with prizes for Best Beard and Best Dressed Lumberjack (Adult and Kids divisions), a kids’ fun run with no registration required, and awards for the top three overall male and female finishers plus the top three in ages 18 and under.
Course, logistics and fees
All races start at the Outdoor Adventure Center and run along the Dequindre Cut in Detroit on an out-and-back course. The course is described as flat; parking is available across from Milliken State Park and Harbor. Race swag includes a custom medal, a lumberjack buff, entry to the Outdoor Adventure Center, and a pancake breakfast.
The event is limited to 350 registrants. Early online registration pricing applies, with higher fees after March 1 and increased rates on race day. A family discount of $3 per person applies when registering three or more people together. Additional pancake breakfast tickets for non-racers are available for purchase.
