Lumberjack Pancake Run
The Lumberjack Pancake Run is a themed running event in Detroit on March 29, 2026, held at the Outdoor Adventure Center and along the Dequindre Cut. It is presented as part of Lumberjack Days 2026, a three day festival running March 27 to March 29.
Participants can enter individual events or a combined challenge. Distances and event types include:
- Silver Dollar Mile, 1 mile
- Flapjack 5k, 5 kilometers
- Lumberjack Breakfast entry, both 1 mile and 5k
- Pancake Breakfast, food-only ticket option
Each race uses an out-and-back course along the Dequindre Cut, described as flat. Parking is available across from Milliken State Park and Harbor. Race activities are based at the Outdoor Adventure Center and include costume contests with prizes for Best Beard and Best Dressed Lumberjack in adult and kids divisions.
Race entries are limited to 350 registrants. Race participants receive event swag that includes a custom medal, a lumberjack buff, entry to the Outdoor Adventure Center and a pancake breakfast. Additional pancake breakfast tickets are available for non racers for a stated price of $5. A family discount of three dollars per person applies when three or more people register together.
