Lulworth Cove 2026
This trail running event takes place on the South West Coast Path and passes landmarks such as Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove and Kimmeridge Bay. The event is scheduled for 12th September 2026 and offers multiple trail distances.
- 10k Trail Race (minimum age 16, finish aid station)
- 27k Trail Race (minimum age 18, four aid stations)
- 50k Ultra Marathon (minimum age 20, GPS trackers, six aid stations)
Races are chip-timed. The ultra distance uses GPS trackers issued at bib collection; trackers should be positioned high in a pack for best signal. Mandatory kit is required for all races and will be spot-checked when collecting race bibs. A carryable cup or flask is included in the mandatory kit because RunThrough Trails are cupless events. Additional kit requirements may be activated for extreme weather.
Base Camp is listed as Wareham, BH20 5PU. Free parking is available at Base Camp, with additional parking at Durdle Door Car Park; parking on the grass verge outside Base Camp is not permitted. A bus stop named Durdle Door Park Entrance is directly outside Base Camp. The closest train stations are Moreton and Wareham and are a drive or taxi from the event village.
Facilities at Base Camp include bag drop, portaloos, food and snacks, a finish aid station and a kit stall. Pre-race briefings are mandatory and held at Base Camp 15 minutes before each race. Volunteers support course marking, aid stations, marshaling and logistics. Participants must follow environmental rules, stay on marked trails and avoid littering; littering can result in disqualification. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
