About the race
Lulworth Cove is a trail event on the Jurassic Coast based at Lulworth Cove, Wareham (BH20 5PU), taking place on 12 September 2026. The course follows sections of the South West Coast Path and passes landmarks such as Durdle Door and Kimmeridge Bay.
Race distances:
- 50K 50 km, 1,849 m ascent, cut-off 12 hrs, min age 20
- 27K 27 km, 1,020 m ascent, cut-off 6.5 hrs, min age 18
- 10K 10 km, 435 m ascent, cut-off 3 hrs, min age 16
Aid stations are fully stocked with water, electrolytes or sports drink, Coke, fruit (banana, orange), sweets, salty snacks, energy bars and energy gels at selected stations. This is a cupless event so runners should bring their own cup or soft flask.
Facilities at the event village include bag drop, portaloos, food and snacks, a finish aid station, hot drinks and a kit stall. All races use chip timing and results are posted online shortly after finish. Walking poles are permitted. Headphone use is discouraged; open ear or bone conducting headphones are allowed provided runners can hear announcements. A mandatory pre-race briefing takes place 15 minutes before each race at Base Camp. Race bibs are collected from the Event Village on race-day morning.
