Ludington Lakestride Half Marathon

The Ludington Lakestride takes place Friday June 12 to Saturday June 13, 2026 in Ludington, MI (2015 Stearns Park, 49431). The event program includes these distances:

• Half Marathon
• 10K
• 5K
• 1 Mile Family Fun run

Entry fees listed on the event page are $45 for the half marathon, $40 for the 10K, $35 for the 5K, and the 1 Mile Family Fun run is free. Prices for the half marathon, 10K and 5K increase after early April 2026. Each registration includes a Sport-Tek long sleeve shirt and a finisher medal. The 1 Mile Family Fun run is timed, no official results will be posted, and pre-registration through the event platform is encouraged. The fun run is held the evening before the main races and starts just south of Stearns Park at the west end of Ludington Avenue.

Course and awards

The half marathon course starts on Lake Shore Drive near the city beach and heads north toward Ludington State Park. Notable sections include about 2 miles on Piney Ridge Road with rolling hills, a 1.8 mile trail through mature forest, a downhill sand dune, crossing Hamlin Dam, and roughly 6 miles along the Lake Michigan shoreline on Lakeshore Drive returning to the city beach finish. Aid stations with Gatorade and water are located roughly every mile up to the trail entrance and again after exiting the State Park. There are no port-a-johns on the course. In-person finishers receive a medal and long-sleeve tech tee; overall and Masters winners receive custom photo plaques and age-group medals for 1st-3rd, which must be collected in person.
