Ludington Lakestride Half Marathon 10K and 5k
The event takes place June 12 to 13, 2026 in Ludington, Michigan, with the main venue at Stearns Park. Multiple race distances are offered across the two days.

The half marathon course starts on Lake Shore Drive near the city beach and heads north toward Ludington State Park. The route includes paved rolling hills on Piney Ridge Road, a 1.8 mile trail section through mature forest with some technical areas, a descent down a sand dune, crossing Hamlin dam, and about six miles along Lakeshore Drive beside Lake Michigan before returning to the city beach finish near the Ludington Lighthouse. Aid stations providing Gatorade & water are located roughly every mile up to the trail entrance and resume after exiting the State Park. There are no port-a-johns on the course. The majority of the route is flat except for the trail section and a hill near mile 12. Post-race refreshments are available in the finish area tent and downtown Ludington is within walking distance of the beach.
Each registration includes a Sport-Tek long sleeve shirt and a finisher medal. Overall and Masters winners receive custom photo plaques and age group medals are awarded to the top three finishers in each distance. There is no option for refunds or deferrals. The 1 mile family fun run is free, timed with a large finish display, and is held the Friday before the main races with a start just south of Stearns Park at the west end of Ludington Avenue.
