13th annual Lucky Leprechaun 5K, Milton, DE
The 13th annual Lucky Leprechaun 5K is scheduled for March 8, 2026 in Milton, Delaware. The event is a single race of 5K distance that combines running and walking in one division; there is no separate division for walkers and awards are not given to walkers.
The loop course starts and finishes at Irish Eyes Pub & Restaurant, 105 Union Street, Milton. The route is a wheel measured course described as "fast & flat." Chip timing is provided by Seashore Strider Event Production using the Chronotrack system.
Proceeds benefit the Milton Chamber of Commerce, the Milton Fire Department and the Women’s Club of Milton. The event has grown since its origin in 2008; recent participation totals include over 300 participants in 2020, 298 finishers in 2022, a record of 588 registered in 2023, 552 in 2024, and a new record of 661 in 2025.
Race amenities include long sleeve race shirts and refreshments, and beer and bloody marys for participants over age 21. Awards are presented to overall male and female, Masters, and the top three in ten year age groups from 13 and under through 70 and over.
