Lucky Kidney Run

The Lucky Kidney Run is an annual community event presented by the East Tennessee Kidney Foundation as part of the Knox Shamrock Fest in downtown Knoxville. The event focuses on National Kidney Disease Awareness and community education about kidney disease, including early detection.

The race starts and finishes on the World’s Fair Performance Lawn and follows an out-and-back course along the 2nd Creek Greenway, incorporating the Neyland Drive greenway before returning to the World’s Fair Park lawn. The event connects a running and walking course with the downtown festival atmosphere at World’s Fair Park.

Awards are presented to top finishers, top fundraising teams, and the largest teams. Funds raised support transportation, nutritional support, and dental assistance programs for kidney patients across East Tennessee. The event is presented in conjunction with the Knox Shamrock Fest and is held each March to coincide with National Kidney Disease Awareness efforts.
