Event overview
The Lucky Kidney Run, part of Knox Shamrock Fest, takes place on March 14, 2026 in Knoxville, TN at Regal Headquarters and Gay Street Bridge. The event is organized by the East Tennessee Kidney Foundation (ETKF), a local nonprofit focused on early detection of kidney disease, education, and access to care; funds raised remain in the community. In-person registration includes a 2026 event shirt, race number, and race packet.

Course, awards and logistics
The 6K starts on the pedestrian Gay Street Bridge and follows Council Pl., Sevier Avenue, Suttrees Landing Waterfront, Phillips Ave., Island Home Road (out and back), McCormick St., Anita Dr., and returns to finish in front of the Regal Headquarters building. The course has under 200 ft total elevation. Walkers are discouraged on the full 6K due to the course closure timeline; walkers may consider the virtual 6K or the 1 mile event.
Packet pickup is required before race day; pickup will not be available on race day. Pickup dates are listed as Thursday, March 13 and Friday, March 14 with locations and times to be determined. Parking is available in the Regal Parking Garage. In-person 6K awards will be given to top three male and female finishers, top fundraising team, and largest team, with age-group prizes in 10-year increments. Virtual submissions are accepted March 11-16 on the honor system; virtual entries receive no awards or shirts. A photographer will be on site and photos will be posted after the event.
