Lucky 8 5k, 10k, 15k, Half Marathon - Long Beach
The Lucky 8 event on August 8, 2026 offers multiple running and walking distances along the Long Beach path near 5400 E Ocean Blvd, Belmont Shores. Check-in is located at the tables closest to 54th Place at the start of the beach path. The organizer emphasizes a relaxed, personal racing experience and posts official results after the event.
Included with registration are custom finisher medals, drawstring goodie bags, free photos and videos, and an assortment of snacks. Results and participant names are posted on the organizer’s website within 12 to 24 hours after the event. There are numerous restrooms and water fountains along the course; participants are advised to plan for parking and facilities early.
Course formats:
- 5k out-and-back route
- 10k two 5k loops
- 15k three 5k loops
- Half marathon three 4.36 mile loops
Running or walking with a stroller is allowed. A 3:15 time limit applies to the half marathon; participants who need more time may contact the organizer in advance. Group discounts are available for five or more people through the organizer. The event policy notes no refunds and no bandit entries.
