About the race

The 8th Annual United Supermarkets Lubbock Marathon is scheduled for October 25, 2026 in downtown Lubbock. The course begins and ends in Lubbock’s historic downtown and passes through areas that reflect the city’s cotton-and-cattle past, live-music culture, and recent redevelopment.

The event program includes a range of distances and a Kids Run, and the full marathon is an official Boston Marathon qualifying course. Race proceeds are invested back into local organizations, nonprofits, schools, and other groups that promote healthy eating and active living.
