Love is a Verb 5K
The Love is a Verb Road Race is the second annual event held on August 29, 2026 at Riverstone Church parking lot in Kennesaw, Georgia. The event includes both an on-site 5K and a virtual 5K.
- On-site 5K Run: 3.1 miles
- Virtual 5K Run: 3.1 miles
The on-site course is an up-and-down loop through the Barrett Greene neighborhood adjacent to Riverstone Church. Parking and restrooms are available at the church. There will be one water station on the course, and additional water and post-race snacks at the finish. Dogs are not allowed on course; strollers are permitted.
The race is timed by Elite Race Timing. Each on-site participant receives a race bib with an attached timing chip, and live results are available via a QR code at the finish and are posted online after the race. Awards are given to the top three finishers by male and female in each age group and to the top overall male and female. Age groups are 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over.
T-shirts are guaranteed for registrations received before August 15. The race is planned to take place rain or shine; only extreme weather may prompt schedule changes. Proceeds benefit 8th Day Clean, a nonprofit established in 2017 that supports education and self-sustaining skills for young people and women in developing countries.
