Love is a Verb 5K
The Love is a Verb Road Race takes place in Kennesaw, Georgia, on August 21, 2027, with the Riverstone Church parking lot (2005 Stilesboro Rd) as the race location. The event includes both an in-person 5K and a virtual 5K option. Proceeds benefit 8th Day Clean, an organization that supports education and sustainable skills for young people in developing countries and focuses on improving community wellbeing and opportunities for women living in extreme poverty.
The on-course route is an up-and-down loop through the Barrett Greene neighborhood adjacent to Riverstone Church. The race uses chip timing and live results accessible via a QR code on the race bib; timing is provided by Elite Race Timing. There will be one water station on course and additional water and snacks at the finish area. Restrooms are available at Riverstone Church.
Awards are given to the top three finishers in each age category for male and female participants and to the top overall male and female winners. Age categories range from 10 and under through 70 and over. T-shirts are guaranteed for registrations received before August 8, 2027. On-site parking is available at Riverstone Church. The event will be held rain or shine; changes are possible only in extreme weather. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
