Love in Action Walk/Run
The Love in Action Walk/Run is an annual community event held at Vista View Park in Davie, Florida. Organized by the Carmela’s Heart Foundation, this fourth annual occurrence focuses on supporting humanitarian efforts for children and families in Venezuela. The event features a variety of distances to accommodate different participation preferences.
The available distances include:
- 10K Run
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1K Walk
- Virtual Run/Walk
The course at Vista View Park is described as a hilly route. The 5K distance consists of a single loop that winds around and over two hills within the park. Participants choosing the 10K distance complete a second loop of the same course. Results are recorded using electronic timing, with awards provided for the top male and female finishers, as well as the top three finishers in various age groups.
In addition to the races, the event includes an after-party featuring music, refreshments, and a vendor exhibition. Parking is available on-site at the park on a first-come, first-served basis. While there is no on-site registration on the morning of the event, online registration remains open until shortly before the start. The virtual participation option allows individuals to complete a 5K distance at any location of their choosing, with race kits available for domestic shipping.
