Love in Action Walk/Run - Davie, FL
Carmela's Heart Foundation presents the fourth annual Love in Action Walk/Run, a community running event on Sunday, October 25, 2026 at Vista View Park in Davie, Florida. The event raises funds and awareness to support children and families in Venezuela affected by the humanitarian crisis.
The event offers several participation options:
- 1K Walk
- 5K Run/Walk
- 10K Run
- Virtual Run/Walk
The 5K course winds around the park and goes over two hills; the 10K consists of a second loop of the same route. Parking is available on a first come, first served basis near the park entrance; the organizer covers the park entrance fee to help reduce entrance backup. Packet pickup is scheduled for Saturday, October 24 in the late morning and afternoon.
Awards are planned for top male and female finishers and for the top three in each age group; overall awards use gun time while age group awards use chip time. Participants must be present to receive awards. If circumstances prevent a safe in-person event, in-person registrations will be transferred to the virtual option. Virtual participants who provide a valid US mailing address will receive the event kit within about two weeks via United States Postal Service.
