Love in Action Walk/Run
Carmela's Heart Foundation presents the third annual Love in Action event at Vista View Park in Davie, Florida. The event offers in-person and virtual options and includes routes of varying lengths to accommodate walkers and runners.
Distances include:
- 1K Walk
- 5K Run/Walk
- 10K Run
- Virtual 5K Run or Walk
Registration fees listed by the organizer include $30 for the 1K Walk, $40 for the 5K Run/Walk, $50 for the 10K Run, and $30 for the Virtual 5K. Entry packages for the 5K and 10K include a T-shirt, medal, and timed bib; the 1K Walk notes an exclusive T-shirt option. The virtual entry offers an optional race kit for United States addresses for an additional fee and shows kits are shipped via the United States Postal Service.
The 5K course winds around and includes two hills in the park; the 10K is a second loop of that course. Packet pickup is provided and online registration is available; the organizer states there is no on-site registration. Parking is available to the right after entering the park on a first-come, first-served basis, followed by a short walk across a footbridge on the north side.
Awards are given to top male and female finishers and the top three in each age group; overall awards are based on gun time and age group awards on chip time.
