Love in Action Walk/Run

Carmela's Heart Foundation presents the fourth annual Love in Action Walk/Run, a community event on October 25, 2026 at Vista View Park in Davie, Florida. The event raises funds and awareness to support children and families in Venezuela affected by the humanitarian crisis.
The event offers multiple distance options:
- 1K Walk
- 5K Run/Walk
- 10K Run
- Virtual 5K Run/Walk
The 5K course winds around the park and passes over two hills; the 10K consists of a second loop of the same course. The 5K and 10K entries include a runner's package with a T-shirt, medal and timed bib. The 1K entry notes an exclusive Love in Action T-shirt available at checkout. Virtual participants can complete a 5K or 1K at their convenience; an optional race kit with T-shirt and medal is available for US addresses for an additional fee and will be shipped via the United States Postal Service within two weeks of the in-person event.
Results will be available on-site and participants are encouraged to sign up to receive results by text. Awards are offered to overall male and female finishers based on gun time and to age group top three finishers based on chip time; recipients must be present to receive awards. Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Packet pickup is scheduled the day before at Alex's Bicycle, 16098 W. State Road 84 Ste 3, Weston, FL 33326, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.
