Love Durham Run 5k
The Love Durham Run 5k is scheduled for 09/12/2026 at C.M. Herndon Park in Durham, NC. The event is a community 5K (3.1 miles) run, walk, and roll organized by the Durham Civitan Club to support local and related charitable programs.
Registered participants are scheduled to receive a t-shirt and a custom medal. Registrations made after 12:01 am on September 1 are not guaranteed a participant shirt, but all finishers will receive a finisher medal. Standard registration is listed at $35; race day registration and entries are accepted at packet pick up and on race day for $40.
Packet pick up is available at the South Durham Bull City Running Company on Friday, September 11 from 4:30 pm until 6:30 pm at 202 W NC 54 #109, Durham, NC 27713, and on race morning from 7:00 am until 7:45 am at C.M. Herndon Park, 511 Scott King Road, Durham, NC 27713.
Proceeds and participant support are directed through the Durham Civitan Club to several community efforts, including Special Olympics, Boys & Girls Home of North Carolina, backpack programs for Durham elementary and middle students, college scholarships for Durham high school seniors, and the Civitan International Research Foundation at the University of Alabama Birmingham.
Award categories include overall first place male and female, male and female age groups 16 and under, 17 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 and over, and first place stroller. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
