Event overview
The Donate Life NC Hero Run takes place on Sunday, September 13, 2026, in Durham, NC. The event starts and finishes at Herndon Park, with participants running, walking, or rolling on an out-and-back course along the American Tobacco Trail. Events, fees and awards
- 5K Run/Walk/Roll - $35; registration includes a t-shirt, bib with timing chip, and post-event refreshments.
- 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk/Roll - $20; includes a bib and access to the post-race party.
- Sleep In Superhero - $25; registrants receive a race t-shirt shipped to them.
Registrants who sign up by September 1 will be guaranteed a t-shirt; later registrations receive t-shirts if available. The 5K awards top three male and female overall, top three combined male and female 10 & under, and the top male and female in age groups 11-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+.
