Event Overview

The 3rd Annual Love Doesn't Hurt event features three distance options: a 1 mile walk, a 5k run, and a 10k run. It is scheduled for October 10, 2026.

Location and Course

The event will take place at the Mill Village Trailhead on the Augusta Canal, located at 109 Eve Street in Augusta, Georgia.

Purpose and Beneficiary

The event is organized by The Turn Around Foundation during Domestic Violence Awareness month. It aims to raise awareness and funds to support people in Augusta, Georgia who are experiencing domestic violence, homelessness, or other hardships. Funds help provide food, shelter, or clothing.

Registration and Pricing

Registration is open, with the following prices:

  • 1 mile walk: $20
  • 5k run: $25
  • 10k run: $30

Same-day registration is available at a higher rate:

  • 1 mile walk: $20
  • 5k run: $30
  • 10k run: $35

Event Day Schedule

Packet pickup is available on race day from 7:00 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. at the Mill Village Trailhead. The race start times are:

  • 10k run: 8:00 a.m.
  • 5k run: 8:15 a.m.
  • 1 mile walk: 8:20 a.m.

Awards ceremonies are scheduled for 9:45 a.m. for the 5k and 10:00 a.m. for the 10k.

Awards and Packets

All participants receive a medal. First-place winners in the 5k and 10k races will receive a gift card. Pre-race packet pickup is also available on October 3 and October 9 at Fit 2 Run and Fleet Feet Augusta, respectively. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
